A number of half-timbered buildings dating back 400 years, the historic town hall and the hotel Zum Kanzler - together they form the historic ensemble of Stolberg. Our hotel can look back on more than 300 years of history. Each room of the hotel impresses with its own charm and is comfortably furnished. In the stylishly furnished restaurant you will not only enjoy the hospitality of the Harz, but also regional dishes and a mix of culinary delicacies. In summer, the seats on our terrace at the market square are very popular. There, while enjoying your Harz delicacies, you can enjoy a wonderful view of the public strolling over the historic market square.

The health resort of Stolberg is located in the southern Harz Mountains. A walk through the narrow streets of this half-timbered town is unforgettable. Hotel Zum Kanzler is located in a more than 450-year-old, listed half-timbered building, one of the most impressive houses in the town. Other attractions include Stolberg Castle, the Saiger Tower, the Town Hall and St. Martin's Church. The area surrounding Stolberg is also interesting. The Harz Narrow-Gauge Railway runs nearby, a steam-powered narrow-gauge railway that crosses the Harz Mountains. Together with two other railways, it forms the longest steam-powered railway network in Europe. To the south of the Harz, and not far from you, lies the smaller Kyffhäuser mountain range. One of the main attractions here is the 81-metre-high Kyffhäuser Monument, a monument dedicated to Emperor Wilhelm.
