Gasthaus Kupfer is located in a more than 450-year-old, listed half-timbered house, one of the most impressive buildings in the town. Other sights include Stolberg Castle, the Saigerturm, the town hall and St. Martini Church. The surrounding area of Stolberg is also interesting. The Harz Narrow Gauge Railway runs nearby, a steam-powered narrow-gauge railway that crosses the Harz Mountains. Together with two other railways, it forms the longest steam-powered railway network in Europe. In the south of the Harz Mountains and not far from Stolberg lies the smaller Kyffhäuser mountain range. Particularly worth seeing here is the 81 m high Kyffhäuser Monument, a monument to Kaiser Wilhelm.
