The officially recognized holiday resort of Gunzenhausen is situated on Lake Altmühlsee in the idyllic region of Middle Franconia, ideal for hiking and cycling in the Altmühltal and Franconian Lake District. Hotel Adlerbräu is located directly on the Altmühl promenade. This traditional family-run hotel welcomes you with typical Franconian hospitality. The double rooms in the Stammhaus category are located on the 1st, 2nd or 3rd floor of the main building. The rooms are tastefully and generously furnished. High above the rooftops of Gunzenhausen, 2 saunas, an aromatic steam bath and experience showers offer relaxation after an active day. In the restaurant, you can enjoy regional Franconian and international cuisine.

The nearby Altmühlsee offers a wide range of leisure activities – whether swimming, sunbathing, cycling or walking, there is something for everyone. The Franconian Lake District and Altmühltal offer ideal conditions for hikers and cyclists. Around 50 km away, the medieval old town of Nuremberg awaits you, with attractions such as the Germanisches Nationalmuseum and the city’s landmark: the impressive Imperial Castle.
