Oberwiesenthal is one of the most popular and snowiest winter sports resorts in Germany. It is only around 2 km from the Alpina Lodge to the ski area at Fichtelberg. Winter sports enthusiasts are offered downhill slopes, a halfpipe and the snow and fun park, which is very popular with younger winter sports freaks. Nine lifts, spread over a total of 15 kilometers of downhill slopes, offer you a more than varied choice with a wide range of difficulty levels. For fans of cross-country skiing, there are more than 70 kilometers of well-maintained trails available every winter. If you prefer to explore the snow of Oberwiesenthal on runners rather than on two boards, there is a two-kilometer-long toboggan run.
