Aurach bei Kitzbühel lies in the heart of the Kitzbühel Alps, just around 5 minutes from the legendary sports town of Kitzbühel. Whether you enjoy hiking, cycling, mountain biking, golf or winter sports, there are plenty of opportunities to get active and enjoy the breathtaking mountain scenery. At an altitude of 1,000 metres, you will find Wildpark Aurach, Tyrol’s largest open-air wildlife park. Covering a total area of 40 hectares, it is home to red deer, fallow deer, mouflon, ibex, lynx, yaks and many other animals. Wildpark Aurach is particularly popular with younger visitors. Visit the Hinterobernau Farmhouse Museum and the Alpine Flower Garden on the Kitzbüheler Horn. Explore the Schleier Waterfall and Sintersbach Waterfall and experience these spectacular natural wonders up close. For a day trip, the historic fortress town of Kufstein, the Tyrolean capital Innsbruck and a scenic drive to Austria’s highest mountain, the Großglockner, are excellent options.
